Inspired by the way in which vessels can be stacked, this legless seat is ideal for rooms in which space is at a premium. In Japan it is very common to sit on the floor especially in the traditional tatami room. Whilst this life style with no fixed location of furniture is very free and flexible it does lead to a tendency for the room to become very cluttered and messy. These seats can help impose a new discipline of tidiness as they can be easily tidied and stacked in the same way as stacking vessels.
